Who needs medication!

Rafael Veasy - A 2002 graduate of Daingerfield High School in Daingerfield, TX, with a GPA of 4.1.

Rafael is the son of Ricky and Clara Veasy, grandson of Fred and Nell Veasy of Ore City, Texas.

Rafael attended and graduated with an Associates of Science degree from Northeast Texas Community College in Mt. Pleasant, TX, with a GPA of 3.9.

Rafael is majoring in Pharmacy in hopes of becoming a Pharmacist. In August 2004 he gained entrance into the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center - School of Pharmacy in Amarillo, Texas. Prior to his entrance into the pharmacy program, he worked as a pharmacy technician for Brookshires. Rafael is the only African American male in his graduating class at TExas Tech where he continues to excel in his academic studies. While working to complete his second year of pharmacy school, Rafael became a member of Kappa Psi, a social organization that provides some community service and promotes industry, sobriety, fellowship and high ideals. Rafael was also selected to be a member of the Dean's Student Advisory Committee, which consists of a group of 12 students who work with the Dean of Pharmacy in order to improve student services and the overall conditions of the school. After two years of study in Amarillo, he will continue his education at Veteran Medical Center in Dallas in the fall of 2006. Upon completing two more years of study, he will graduate in the spring of 2008 receiving a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from Texas Tech University - School of Pharmacy, Amarillo, TX.

We are all very proud of Rafael. His father Ricky states, "My son is my role model."
